Hinesville Downtown Farmers Market Now Seeking Vendor Applications
(January 15, 2012 – Hinesville, Georgia) The Hinesville Downtown Farmers Market is now accepting vendor applications for the 2013 season. Fresh local produce, agricultural/farm items, floral & plants, baked goods, specialty foods, prepared foods, and original crafts will be featured at the market. The Market is held in Bradwell Park/Commerce Street across from City Hall, in beautiful Downtown Hinesville. The 2013 Market will have new hours from 4 to 7 pm each Thursday, May through October with the one exception of July 4th when the Market will be closed to celebrate the holiday. The Spring and Fall Markets are held March – April and November and are an optional, free bonus to all seasonal vendors.
Vendors taking advantage of the Early-bird registration by February 15 will receive a reduced seasonal fee of $150 for general vendors and $250 for prepared food vendors. The regular seasonal fee for is $200 for general vendors and $300 for prepared food vendors. Vendors also have an option to participate on a weekly basis for $15 per week.
“We have great things planned for our 2013 Market season and are very excited to begin”, says Program Assistant, Katrina Barrow. Now in its fourth season, the Market continues to grow each year with a diverse group of products and a large customer base. The Market is offering a “Refer a Farmer” Program to help in recruiting additional and unique farm and agricultural goods. “We are specifically looking for vendors who sell bread, cheeses, plants, herbs, seafood, and certified organic produce”, says Barrow. Entertainment proposals and non-profit application are also being accepted at this time.
The Hinesville Downtown Farmers Market was created to provide the community with the ability to purchase fresh, homegrown produce and agricultural products from local area growers in a culturally diverse setting that strengthens the local economy and enhances the community’s quality of life.
